Across communities in the Lviv region over the past week, dozens of volunteer initiatives, charity fairs and festivals were organised, raising funds, equipment and gear for Ukrainian troops on various sectors of the front.
In the Sheptytskyi district, hairdressers of the State Vocational Educational Institution “Sokal Vocational Lyceum” provided free haircuts for soldiers undergoing rehabilitation in a military unit. During the “HurtOK” festival in Sheptytskyi, the volunteer community of the “Development and Strategic Change Foundation” raised 6,500 UAH for winter sleeping bags. Soldiers of the 129th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade thanked the NGO “Radechiv Housewives” for making camouflage and anti-drone nets.
In the Stryi district, during the 4th “Boiko Mushroom Pickers’ Gathering” festival in the Skole community, 50,070 UAH and 100 korunas were raised for the needs of the Stryi Territorial Defence Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 78th Separate Air Assault Brigade. The “Nebaiduzhi” community of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Stryi handed over camouflage nets to troops on the Kharkiv axis. The “Angels of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” charity foundation delivered four vehicles and quad bikes to the eastern axis. The NGO “Maidan of Stryi Region” collected funds for three Starlink terminals for an air assault unit.
Thanks to Liliana Shcherbanovych and her friends from Italy, the military received treats, a wheelchair, medicines and hygiene products. The school community of Novyi Rozdil Secondary School I–III degrees No. 3 named after A. Herhert, through the “Instead of flowers — donate to the Armed Forces” campaign, raised 10,443 UAH and sent defenders food, treats, hygiene products, and children’s letters and drawings. The “Guardian of Kindness” charity foundation, together with its partner from Italy, Volodymyr Zhyvolup, handed over a professional defibrillator to the medical service of the 41st Separate Mechanised Brigade.
Father Taras Maksymiv, the UGCC communities in the towns of Foligno and Gubbio in Italy, and Volodymyr Gladii donated 15,000 UAH for an engine for a T4 and a quadcopter. The “Priority 4_5_0” charity organisation sent two vehicles with essential cargo for servicemen of the 38th and 125th Brigades on the Kupiansk and Kostiantynivka axes, as well as eight wheels for combat vehicles for the 24th and 18th Brigades. Volunteer Nataliia Lukovska purchased a horn antenna for artillery reconnaissance of the 63rd Brigade, wheels and spare parts for the NRK aerial reconnaissance team, and ten canisters of antiseptic for one of the units.
Volunteer Romana Naidenko sent defenders four tyres, soft stretchers and other essential items, as well as aid for a stabilisation point in Kherson. Oksana Ilkiv from Stryi prepared energy packs for the marines. With the funds raised, Khrystyna Borys purchased and sent a medical backpack and six first-aid kits to four different sectors. The “TEAM “Do Good”” charity foundation provided a vehicle for the brigade of one of its local servicemen.
In the Drohobych district, a charity auction at the “YOY-FEST” festival in Drohobych raised 60,420 UAH for a veterans’ centre and 50,030 UAH for repairs to vehicles of various Defence Forces units, in particular the 45th National Guard Regiment (military unit 4114) and the 43rd Separate Artillery Brigade. Drohobych District State Administration together with the “Kolo” Veterans’ Centre handed over a Jeep SUV to the military. On City Day, residents of Boryslav raised 90,860 UAH to support the 2nd Halychyna Brigade of the National Guard; the same amount had been raised earlier, bringing the total to 90,860 UAH over two days.
Children from the village of Opaka contributed 7,326 UAH to the “Chuika” initiative. Volunteers of “Victory Nets” received five rolls of spunbond for making camouflage nets. The Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary UGCC parish in Drohobych, together with the “Soteria” youth community and with the support of the parents of a fallen defender of Ukraine, purchased two autonomous diesel heaters for unmanned systems operators of the 704th NBC Brigade. Volunteers of the “Vulyk” initiative, after repairs, handed over a vehicle for the 100th Separate Mechanised Brigade, the RUBpAK “Smiley”, the 63rd Separate Mechanised Brigade, the 3rd Separate Marine Brigade, the 1st Separate Special Purpose Battalion named after Dmytro Kotsiubailo “Da Vinci”, the 35th Separate Marine Brigade, and a new vehicle for the 21st Separate Radio-Technical Company of the Ukrainian Navy. They also sent a trailer for rescuers of the 31st Separate Watch of the State Fire and Rescue Service in Kramatorsk.
The 9th season IQDRO game took place in Drohobych under the slogan “Think, Play, Help the Armed Forces”. The teams “Smurfky” and “25+” won the main prize of 30,000 UAH and donated part of this amount to support the 17th Special Centre for Combating Terrorism and Sabotage.
In the Zolochiv district, the Zolochiv community provided another vehicle for the “ARTAN” unit. Volunteers from the Zolochiv community also sent the military two washing machines, energy bars, trench candles, ointments, camouflage nets, a heater and insulation. Four camouflage nets and homemade treats were dispatched from the Krasne community. In the village of Zadvyria in the Krasne community, during the “Play for Your Yard!” 5×5 charity mini-football championship, 6,630 UAH was raised over two rounds for the needs of the Armed Forces. Residents of the village of Volytsia-Derevlianska in the Busk community collected over 16,000 UAH for defenders for Village Day.
In the Lviv district, residents of the village of Voloshchyna in the Bibrka community raised 31,000 UAH at a charity concert featuring People’s Artist of Ukraine Ihor Bohdan to support the military. Staff of Zhovkva City Council donated 10,500 UAH to the “Zhovkva Spiders” volunteer initiative, which has woven over a thousand camouflage nets since the start of the full-scale invasion. Staff, pupils and parents of Zhovtantsi Gymnasium raised 10,640 UAH during fairs in Zhovtantsi and Velyke Kolodne.
The Kamianka-Buzka community, together with the OZON bar-restaurant and Ihor and Myroslava Serdynetski, provided an electric bike to serviceman Ivan Lutsko of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment. In Lviv, participants of the “Meest Run the World — 2026” race raised 250,000 UAH for the 103rd Separate Territorial Defence Brigade named after Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. At its 56th session, Lviv City Council allocated an additional 106 million 300 thousand UAH for security measures, including material and technical support and equipment repairs for military units and Special Operations Forces.
Within the framework of the “Lion’s Revenge” initiative, the Lviv community provided five military units with 10 quadcopters, 10 generators, 15 Starlink sets, 10 charging stations, 30 radios, 22 navigation and radio modules, 20 control panels, 25 soldering stations and other equipment. In the Pustomyty community, local entrepreneurs and organisers of a charity concert and auction, at the initiative of the “Zlata” hotel and restaurant complex, raised 220,000 UAH for the “KORD” Special Police Assault Battalion.
Staff of the Pidberiztsi Village Council delivered two vehicles to the front line for soldiers from the villages of Chyzhykiv and Myklashiv, as well as net launchers, drone detectors, Starlink, Ecoflow, generators, batteries, tablets, collimator sights, tools, clothing, gear and food worth over 3 million 150 thousand UAH in total. An additional 422,730 UAH was spent on vehicle repairs. Educational institutions in the Pustomyty community raised 66,500 UAH and handed it over to two servicemen for the needs of their units. Parents of pupils and the form teacher of class 2-A of Rava-Ruska Secondary School No. 1 raised 17,578 UAH for the Armed Forces at a charity fair. In Shchyrets, a charity concert for City Day, “Unity for the Sake of Life”, collected 140,000 UAH to purchase a vehicle for a unit of the 45th Separate Artillery Brigade.
In the Sambir district, public organisations, the #MAMARAGNARA initiative and the Sambir City Army Assistance Coordination Centre regularly hold the “Support the Ukrainian Military” campaign. This time, a consignment of medical supplies for the burns unit and intensive care, filament for 3D-printing drones and components, as well as potbelly stoves, was sent to Dnipro. The “Resistance Sambir” initiative is also involved in supporting defenders, providing troops with essential items.
During the “Cheese Festival” in Verkhnie Vysotske, residents raised 54,880 UAH, of which 22,000 UAH has already been transferred to the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, with the rest to be directed to other needs of the Armed Forces. The Biskovychi community purchased and delivered another vehicle to eastern Ukraine, as well as medicines; the “Good Deeds” charity organisation assisted with the paperwork. During summer charity discos in the Sambir area, 29,330 UAH was raised: 20,000 UAH has already been directed to support the 116th Separate Mechanised Brigade, with 9,330 UAH kept in reserve.
The Rudky community continues regular deliveries of aid: food, homemade dishes, honey, tinned meat, hygiene products, medicines, camouflage nets, power banks and other items. An additional 10,410 UAH in donations was collected; such trips take place every second Thursday.
In the Yavoriv district, Yavoriv City Council together with residents of the community collected and delivered aid to servicemen of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after King Danylo. Volunteers of Novoiavorivsk Secondary School No. 2 constantly weave camouflage nets and supply them to units upon request. Residents of Novoiavorivsk joined a collection for Yevhenii Bihun and his comrades from the 96th Separate Support Battalion: six vehicle tyres worth 22,000 UAH were purchased, and 1,063 UAH was reserved for buying spunbond for camouflage nets.
Petro Shot, together with his British friends, delivered another batch of uniforms and thermal underwear for the military, which will soon be sent to the front. Together with benefactors from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the USA, Canada and Ukraine, he also supplied servicemen of the 29th Brigade with sleeping bags, blankets, trench candles, gas cylinders, kitchen utensils and food. Benefactors from Canada and the USA, as well as participants in a charity auction, provided the KORD special unit operating on the Kharkiv axis with a Starlink terminal, a universal drone control panel, power banks and net launchers. Residents of Mostyska district sewed another 10 camouflage covers and handed them over to volunteers of the Mostyska Volunteering Centre.
