On the anniversary of the death of Yevhen Proskurenko, a motorcade took place through the streets of the city in honour and memory of the hero. This is the city where Yevhen spent his childhood and youth, met with family, started a family, and where he is now remembered as a true defender of the Fatherland.
The community honoured his memory, as the 33-year-old hero gave his life defending his homeland. He served as a junior sergeant, a squad leader in the platoon of robotic platforms in the fire support company of the assault battalion of military unit A7400. Yevhen died on 6th May near the village of Iskryskivshchyna in the Sumy region while carrying out a combat mission.
Today, the community, remembering his feat, bows their heads in gratitude and sorrow in remembrance. The loss of this man leaves a wound in the heart of his relatives — his wife, two young children, parents, and grandmother, as well as in the entire country.
