Two servicemen from Lviv region return home from enemy captivity: residents of Sulyatychi and Kupnovychi freed

Two defenders from Lviv region, who were previously held in captivity by Russian forces, have returned home. They are Volodymyr Hnydyn from Sulyatychi village in Stryi district and Vasyl Voloshynskyi from Kupnovychi village in Sambir district.

According to Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr served in the 13th separate airborne assault battalion of the 95th separate air assault brigade. He spent nearly 19 months in captivity.

Vasyl, originally from Kupnovychi, was a soldier in the 68th separate jaeger brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush. He was captured in January 2023.

Maksym Kozytskyi expressed heartfelt congratulations on their return:

“We are overjoyed to see our heroes home! Deep gratitude for your courage and service. Wishing you strong health and a full recovery. May every Ukrainian family welcome back their defenders!”
