22-year-old reconnaissance soldier from Sheptytske, Vladyslav Myhal, returns from captivity after leaving university to join the army

The community of Sheptytske celebrates the safe return of its native son — 22-year-old Vladyslav Volodymyrovych Myhal, who has finally been released from captivity.

Back in November 2023, Vladyslav was a first-year student at Lviv Polytechnic, studying computer technologies. However, he made a courageous decision to leave his studies and voluntarily join the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He served as a scout-gunner in the reconnaissance unit of military unit A4030.

In April 2024, during combat operations, he was captured by the enemy. Since then, his family, friends, and the entire community had been anxiously awaiting his return. Now, that long-awaited moment has come — Vladyslav is finally home.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Vladyslav for his bravery and sacrifice. Welcome back! Wishing you a swift recovery, strong health, and enduring resilience.
