Ivan Plechii, a defender of Ukraine from the village of Tukhlya, has returned home from Russian captivity. He was born on 8 April 1989 and served in military unit A4935 as a senior rifleman-operator.
According to available information, on 11 August 2024 the serviceman was taken prisoner in the area of the city of Toretsk in Donetsk region. Since then, his family and comrades-in-arms had waited for two years for his return, holding on to their faith in his release.
After a long wait, it became known that Ivan Plechii had been freed from captivity and had returned home. In the message dedicated to his return, gratitude is expressed to the defender for his courage, strength and devotion to Ukraine.
