Today, during another exchange of prisoners of war, Ukrainian defender Volodymyr Anatoliyovych Horhush, born in 1979 and a resident of Zhvyrka, has returned home.
Volodymyr was drafted into military service in November 2024. He served as a gunner-operator in military unit A-4447. On February 2, 2025, he was captured by Russian forces during a combat mission.
Throughout his captivity, his parents prayed for his safe return. Their prayers were answered as Volodymyr finally made it back to Ukrainian soil.
May this joyful news offer hope to all families still awaiting the return of their loved ones held in captivity or missing. We believe more such reunions are yet to come.
