Resident of the village of Dobriany, Roman Huk, born in 1981, was killed while defending Ukraine as part of the parachute and airborne battalion of military unit A1126. He remained faithful to the military oath and his duty to the Ukrainian people until the very end.
According to available information, the serviceman fell in battle on 20 August 2024 during combat operations near the settlement of Novohrodivka in the Pokrovskyi district of Donetsk region. After this, for a long time, Roman Huk was considered missing in action, but the fact of his death has recently been officially confirmed.
The community of Dobriany extends its sincere condolences to the father, brother, relatives, friends, fellow villagers and comrades-in-arms of the fallen soldier. The blessed memory of the courageous defender who gave his life for his native land will forever remain in people’s hearts.
