A deadly collision occurred near the village of Zhyrivka in Lviv region, where a Nissan Navara pickup truck crashed into a stationary truck on the roadside.
All four individuals who lost their lives were Ukrainian military personnel.
According to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), the accident happened on October 30 at approximately 9:15 PM. Preliminary findings indicate that a 35-year-old driver of a military-registered Nissan Navara lost control of the vehicle on a turn, veered off the road, and collided with a parked truck.
The fatal crash resulted in the deaths of:
- the Nissan driver,
- two of his passengers,
- a 53-year-old truck passenger who was stepping out of the cab at the time of the crash.
All victims were confirmed to be members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Investigators and SBI officers arrived at the scene, collected physical evidence, and interviewed witnesses. A criminal investigation has been launched to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incident.
