According to information from newrozdil.city, the death of a Defender of Ukraine, a resident of the Novorozdil Community, Sergiy Shklyoda, born in 1971, has been confirmed. Since 2024, Sergiy was considered missing. During all this time, his family, friends, and the entire community lived in hope of good news. Unfortunately, as a result of conducted DNA testing and corresponding official procedures, he has been declared deceased.
Sergiy served in military unit A4056, holding the position of a grenadier in the 2nd ranger section of the 2nd ranger platoon of the 4th ranger company of the 2nd ranger battalion. He died on June 21, 2024, while performing a combat mission to defend the Homeland in the area of the settlement Novoselivka Persha in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region.
The Novorozdil community bows its head in mourning together with the family of the deceased Defender. This is an irreparable loss for his family, friends, comrades, the community, and all of Ukraine.
