
🕯️Tragic news from the front — Ukrainian defender and energy specialist Andriy Oleksa from the Sokal region has died in battle. On November 17, 2025, the heart of Senior Lieutenant and tank commander Andriy Volodymyrovych Oleksa stopped beating. In civilian life, he was a dedicated professional at “Lvivoblenergo.”
Andriy Oleksa was 52 years old. He was born on July 21, 1973, in the village of Telyazh, Sheptytskyi district. In 1995, he graduated from the State Mining Academy of Ukraine with a degree in mining engineering and automation.
His career at “Lvivoblenergo” began on December 22, 2003, when he took up the role of engineer and group leader in the Sokal District Energy Office. Later, he worked as a second-category engineer and, starting from August 1, 2019, as an electrician for meter maintenance in the Northern REM. Colleagues remember him as a hardworking, reliable, and kind-hearted person, known for his professionalism and humanity.
When Russia launched its full-scale invasion, Andriy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since January 11, 2023, he served as Deputy Commander of the 1st Tank Company, 1st Tank Battalion of Military Unit A4674. He fought in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk directions, showing resilience, courage, and loyalty to his homeland.
He is survived by his wife Nataliya, daughters Oksana and Nadiya, sons-in-law Taras and Oleksandr, and granddaughter Kateryna. His passing is a profound loss for his family, comrades-in-arms, and coworkers, who knew him as a sincere and honorable man.
