Dobrotvir Bids Farewell to Hero Bohdan Babyuk

Sad news has once again shaken the Dobrotvir community — Bohdan Volodymyrovych Babyuk, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine born on October 20, 1995, has passed away. The young Hero gave his life defending Ukraine from the enemy.

This loss is a profound tragedy for his family, friends, and all who knew Bohdan. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and pray for their strength during this difficult time.

Days of Mourning Declared

The Dobrotvir community has declared January 16–19 as Days of Mourning. All residents are encouraged to honor the memory of this Hero who sacrificed his life for peace on our land.

Farewell Ceremony Schedule

The farewell ceremony for Bohdan Babyuk will follow this schedule:

  • January 18:
    • 12:00 PM – Panakhyda (memorial service) in Zhovtantsi village at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (OCU).
    • 12:30 PM – Gospel reading at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (OCU) in Kamianka-Buzka.
    • 12:45 PM – Gospel reading at the Heavenly Hundred Heroes Memorial in Ruda village.
    • 1:00 PM – Meeting the fallen defender at the Saints Peter and Paul Church (OCU) in Dobrotvir. After the Gospel reading, the funeral cortege will proceed to his family home at 7 Enerhetychna Street.
    • 7:00 PM – Parastas (evening prayer) at the defender’s home.
  • January 19:
    • 1:30 PM – The funeral rite will begin at the family home. The procession will proceed to the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (UGCC) in Dobrotvir. The warrior will be laid to rest in the local cemetery.

The Dobrotvir community calls on all residents to join in paying their final respects to the brave defender who gave his life for our freedom.
