With deep sorrow, the Belz community reports the death of Ukrainian defender Viktor Mykolayovych Soltykov, a resident of the village of Kariv and a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Viktor Soltykov was born on July 30, 1977. On January 30, 2023, he took up arms to defend his country and faithfully carried out his military duty, remaining loyal to his oath and to the Ukrainian people. He was killed on February 15, 2024, while performing a combat mission near the town of Kostyantynivka in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region as a result of an enemy airstrike.
The fallen Hero is survived by his daughters Anastasiia and Veronika, his son Tymofii, his mother Hanna, his brother Oleksandr, and his wife Liudmyla.
The community extends sincere condolences to the family, relatives, and brothers-in-arms of the fallen soldier. Eternal memory, honor, and gratitude to the defender of Ukraine. Heroes never die—they live forever in our hearts.
Farewell and Funeral Details
The farewell and funeral ceremony will take place on Saturday, February 7:
- 11:00 a.m. — departure from the morgue;
- approximately 1:00 p.m. — arrival in the village of Kariv;
- immediately after arrival — funeral procession to the Church of Saint Paraskeva Pyatnytsia.
Procession route: Lviv — Zhovkva — Rava-Ruska — Uhniv — Kariv.
Residents are invited to honor the Hero and pay their final respects.
