Sad news has shaken the Radehiv community. With sorrow, we announce that on August 7, 2024, loyal to the military oath, in the battle for Ukraine, its freedom and independence, during the execution of a combat mission in the Donetsk region, our compatriot, resident of the village of Yastrubychi, operator of the 3rd radio reconnaissance section of the reconnaissance platoon, reconnaissance company, soldier – Volodymyr Andriyovych Melnyk, born on 13.04.1996, was killed.
Until February 9, 2026, the Defender was considered missing, but DNA analysis confirmed his death.
We express our sincere condolences to the relatives, friends, and comrades of the fallen Warrior. We share your pain and loss. The memory of the Hero will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew, loved, and respected him.
Details about the time and place of the meeting of the cortege with the body of the fallen Defender and the funeral service will be announced separately.
