The Velykomostivska community has once again suffered a heavy loss, losing one of its own.
“With sorrow and pain in our hearts, we are forced to announce an irreparable loss: in the battle for Ukraine, for its freedom and independence, our fellow countryman — soldier Ihor Bohdanovych Kupetskyi, born in 1989, perished.”
Ihor was conscripted for military service through mobilization in July 2024. Since October 24, 2024, he was considered missing near the settlement of Vesele in the Kursk region. The family lived with hope all this time, prayed, and waited for him. Unfortunately, these hopes did not materialize.
The farewell to the Defender will take place tomorrow, approximately at 13:30 at the central square of the city of Velyki Mosty. The mourning cortege will then proceed to the native village of Dvirtsi, where a farewell ceremony and funeral will be held.
“We ask the entire community to honor the fallen Hero with dignity and pay tribute to his memory — in silence, with gratitude, with pain in our hearts.”
May his sacrifice not be in vain. May the memory of Ihor live in our hearts. Eternal memory and glory to the Defender of Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!
