In Sambir District, state awards were presented to service personnel who were wounded in the line of duty. The defenders were honoured with Ministry of Defence of Ukraine medals “For Wounds”.
In accordance with orders of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, four residents of Sambir District received the medals. The awards were presented by the head of Sambir District State Administration, Ivan Ilchyshyn.
The “For Wounds” medals were awarded to:
- Vasyl Pavlish, resident of the village of Dolobiv in the Rudky community;
- Borys Kuibida, resident of the city of Sambir;
- Viktor Soltys, resident of the village of Orkhovychi in the Rudky community;
- Dmytro Stefanyshyn, resident of the city of Sambir.
The district authorities emphasise that these awards are a recognition of the soldiers’ courage and their contribution to the defence of Ukraine.
