Andrii Kukhta from Lviv Region Awarded ‘Iron Cross’ Medal for Courage

The defender from Lviv received the ‘Iron Cross’ medal from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine💪

According to Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, junior sergeant Andrii Kukhta is from the village of Verbove in the Belz community. In 2018, at the age of 18, he joined the defense of Ukraine as part of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.

Military Career of Andrii Kukhta

On February 24, 2022, he voluntarily joined the country’s defense. He performed combat missions as part of the 24th Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. Currently, the defender is fighting near Chasiv Yar.

‘For courage and combat merits, the Defender was awarded the ‘Iron Cross’ medal by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. This is the warrior’s third award – he was previously honored with badges from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine ‘Cross of the Brave’ and ‘For the Defense of Bakhmut.’
