Vasyl Lapchuk Awarded Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky

The serviceman from Lviv region, Vasyl Lapchuk, was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree.

The head of Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytsky, reported that “the order was handed over to the family of the deceased”. Vasyl Lapchuk was born in the village of Pisochna in the Stryi district. After studying at the National Academy of Ground Forces, he served in the 703rd Engineer Regiment in Sambir.

Since 2014, he participated in battles in Eastern Ukraine, being in the ATO/JFO zone. During the full-scale invasion, he served in the 14th separate mechanized brigade. He participated in the battles for Soledar, Bakhmut, on the Kharkiv and Kupyansk directions.

His last place of service was OK “West”, where the officer worked in the psychological recovery group. He died on September 20, 2024, near Dobropillya, in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 39 years old. Eternal and bright memory to the fallen Defender.
