The defender from the Drohobych region was posthumously awarded honorary distinctions.
Senior police sergeant Andriy Dovhey, a native of Boryslav, joined the KORD special purpose police rifle battalion at the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
In May this year, while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk region, Andriy received a severe injury. He underwent treatment, but unfortunately, in July the warrior’s heart stopped.
Andriy was honored with the National Police of Ukraine’s “Badge of Honor” and the Armed Forces of Ukraine Commander-in-Chief’s “Golden Cross”.
