Mykhailo Kundyk from Sokal Region Will Be Buried at the Field of Honorary Burials in Lviv

Mykhailo Kundyk, a native of the village of Savchyn in the Sokal region, will be buried in Lviv at Lychakiv Cemetery. The burial ceremony will take place at the Field of Honorary Burials No. 87, located on Pasichna Street.

Mykhailo Kundyk was born on April 8, 1979, in the village of Savchyn, Lviv region. His life ended on March 19, 2025.

He studied at the Savchyn Secondary School of I–III grades of the Sokal City Council in Lviv region. Later, he received the qualification of a sixth-grade plumber and fitter at the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Slavuta Professional Lyceum.”

In civilian life, Mykhailo worked as a plumber abroad.

His relatives remember him as a kind, sincere, compassionate, hardworking and cheerful person. He was sociable, open to people, knew how to support others and always shared warmth and positivity with those around him.

For his family, Mykhailo was a loving husband and caring father. He valued his family above all and lived for his loved ones. He enjoyed cooking, spending time outdoors and appreciating simple moments in life.

After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Mykhailo Kundyk joined the defense of Ukraine. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state on the South Slobozhanshchyna and Donetsk fronts.

He served in the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Mykhailo Kundyk is survived by his wife, two sons, five sisters, five brothers with their families, godparents, godchildren, relatives, friends and fellow soldiers.
