A defender from Sambor was awarded the Order of Courage, Third Class, unfortunately posthumously.
Yuriy Kachmar served in the ranks of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. He was killed in January 2023 while completing a combat mission in the Donetsk region. “The award was received by the Hero’s mother, Mariya Mykhailivna.”
