LvivskaODA reports that the defender from the Stryi region, Taras Shumskyi, was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd class. He was from the village of Rozvadiv and lived in Mykolaiv.
In June 2022, Taras voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade in the K-2 EW unit. He died on May 21, 2025, near the settlement of Verkhnokamyanske in the Bakhmut district.
The state award was presented to his family. In December 2025, the President of Ukraine posthumously awarded Taras Shumskyi the Order of Courage, 2nd class. Eternal memory, honor, and glory to the Hero!
