A defender from the Stryi district was awarded the Presidential Cross for “Defense of Ukraine”. Unfortunately, posthumously.

Senior police lieutenant Vasyl Hrynchyshyn was from Mykolaiv. He began his service in the infantry, and from November 2022 he joined a mortar unit, where he later became a commander. In 2023, our compatriot was distinguished with the Armed Forces of Ukraine Commander-in-Chief’s badge “Cross of the Brave”. The warrior died in May this year during a combat mission in the Donetsk region. Forever 32.
