A defender from the Zolochiv district was awarded the ‘Combatant Cross’. Unfortunately, posthumously.
Petro Shvayka was born in the village of Velyki Perelisky. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, he stood up to defend Ukraine. He fought as part of the 68th separate ranger brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush. He died during a combat mission in the area of the village of Novoyhorivka, Luhansk region. He was forever 26.
Recently, the defender was also posthumously awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s distinction, the ‘Golden Cross’.
Eternal memory and glory to the Hero. Heartfelt condolences to his family.
