Today, the Drohobych community meets the fallen Hero – Drohobych resident Ihor Ohar

Drohobych received another sad news – Ihor Ohar, a resident of Drohobych, died while defending Ukraine from the enemy. Tomorrow, the funeral convoy with the body of the fallen soldier will arrive in his hometown.

Ihor Ohar was born on January 4, 1975. Lived in Drohobych on Volodymyr Velyky Street. He graduated from secondary school No. 14 and VPU No. 15, worked as a fitter at Ukrtelecom.

During the full-scale invasion of the enemy, a resident of Drohobych volunteered to defend Ukraine. He was a senior soldier of the 24th OMBr named after King Danyla.

During the defense of Ukraine from the enemy, Ihor was wounded in the Bakhmut direction of the front. The defender died from his injuries on December 17.

The deceased Hero is survived by his parents and son.

The Drogobytsk City Council, its executive committee, Mayor Taras Kuchma and Council Secretary Orest Karakevich express their sincere condolences to the family, relatives, friends and relatives regarding the untimely death of our fellow countryman and Hero – Igor Ohar.

The arrival of the funeral convoy with the defender’s body will take place tomorrow, December 20. The convoy will arrive at the Crossroads of Heroes at 12:00. At 12:30 a city-wide farewell will be held on Rynok Square.

The Hero’s funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on St. Volodymyr the Great. The soldier will be buried at the cemetery on Pylyp Orlyk Street.
