Bohdan Koval, a resident of Drohobych, who volunteered to defend Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale invasion, was killed in the war with the Russian invaders. Tomorrow, 14 February, the Hero’s meeting will take place.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Bohdan did not hesitate to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his native land.
From 1 March 2022, the Drohobych resident served in the 67th Battalion of the 103rd Brigade of the TRO and performed combat missions to defend Ukraine at the frontline.
Unfortunately, on 24 January 2024, the soldier was seriously injured near the village of Tabaivka, Kharkiv region. As a result of his injuries, yesterday, on 11 February 2024, the warrior’s life ended in a Kyiv hospital.
The fallen Hero is survived by a son, a brother and a niece.
The meeting of the funeral convoy with the body of the fallen defender will take place tomorrow, 14 February, at 12:30 at the Crossroads of Heroes.
At 13:00, a city-wide farewell will be held on Rynok Square, followed by the funeral service at 13:30 in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Volodymyr the Great Street.
The fallen defender will be buried on the Walk of Fame.
