Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to defender Artur Golovin

On Wednesday, September 20, Lviv will say goodbye to serviceman Artur Golovin, who died at the hands of the Russian occupier while defending Ukraine. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The serviceman’s funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Artur Golovin (19.10.1984-12.09.2023). A native of Lviv.

He studied at the secondary comprehensive school of grades I-III No. 78. He was educated at the Vocational and Technical School No. 48 (today – the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Lviv Higher Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Construction”).

After completing his studies, he worked in the construction industry in the city of Lviv. In his free time, he was fond of collecting stamps.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, despite the lack of military experience, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the invaders. Performed combat missions in the eastern direction in the ranks of the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Konstantin Ostroh of the Operational Command “North” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Artur Golovin is survived by a brother.
