The defender’s biographical information

Bohdan Kozak (16.03.2005-09.02.2024) was a resident of Lviv.

He studied at the secondary school №27 in Lviv named after the Heavenly Hundred hero Yuriy Verbytskyi. He graduated from the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Food Technology.

After graduation, he first did an internship and then worked as a senior waiter-administrator at the Dynasty restaurant.

Since childhood, he was actively involved in sports: he was fond of football, boxing, and participated in national futsal competitions. According to his family, he was extremely sociable, the “soul of the company”, and at the same time, he was purposeful and self-organised, with an extremely firm and persistent character.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, many of Bohdan Kozak’s relatives stood up to defend their homeland. This is what prompted him to sign a contract with the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He took military training in Toledo, Spain, and after the Victory he dreamed of going there with his parents and opening a small cafe. He performed combat missions on the eastern frontline. First and foremost, he sought to liberate Mariupol from the Russian occupiers.

The Hero is survived by his two grandparents, parents and sister.
