On Thursday, August 31, Lviv will say goodbye to serviceman Bohdan Svyatoshenko, who defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.
The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Bohdan Svyatoshenko (February 22, 1968-August 25, 2023) from Lviv.
He studied at secondary comprehensive school of grades I-III No. 78. He received his higher education at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
He worked in the Laboratory of Chemical Technologies, Department of Physical and Colloid Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, Ivan Franko Lviv National University.
Active participant of the Orange Revolution. During various periods of his life, he worked at the Lviv branch of the foreign company “Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited”, the Joint-Stock Company “Galychpharm”, the limited liability companies “Construction Company “Comfortbud-1” and “BETON GROUP-1”. The last place of work was the limited liability company “Mercury Center”.
During the full-scale Russian invasion, he defended Ukraine in the ranks of the military unit A3719 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the eastern direction.
Bohdan Svyatoshenko is survived by his wife, son, daughter, mother, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.
