Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to defender Ihor Stradomskyi

Tomorrow, September 25, Lviv will say goodbye to military serviceman Ihor Stradomsky, who defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The serviceman’s funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square. The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Ihor Stradomskyi (April 9, 1984-September 20, 2023) from Lviv.

Studied at Secondary comprehensive school #62. He was educated at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.

Ihor Stradomskyi’s father worked as a teacher in the villages of Soroky-Lvivski and Mylyatyn, so after completing his studies, Ihor himself replaced him when necessary. Later, he worked as a handyman, and in his free time he liked to read books, was interested in history and learning foreign languages.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, performed tasks as part of the military unit A4943.

Igor Stradomsky is survived by his mother, wife, two sons and two sisters.
