Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to defender Valery Petrov

On Friday, August 25, Lviv will say goodbye to serviceman Valery Petrov, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Studied at Lyceum No. 21 of the Lviv City Council. Graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Printing in Lviv. After completing his studies, he worked first at the Limited Liability Company “Literary Agency “Pyramid”, later – at the LLC “Trading House “Galpoliflex”.

With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation stood up to protect the Motherland from the Russian invaders. Defended the territorial integrity and independence of the state in the ranks of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the “West” regional administration of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Performed combat missions in the eastern direction.

Valery Petrov is survived by his wife, son, father, granddaughter, sister and daughter-in-law.
