Tomorrow Lviv will say goodbye to defender Viktor Harbuz

On Monday, April 15, Lviv will say goodbye to soldier Viktor Harbuz, who defended Ukraine from Russian invaders.

Lviv City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and refrain from holding entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral ceremony for soldier Viktor Harbuz will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Ss. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square.

Biographical information about the defender

Viktor Harbuz (31.07.1979-11.04.2024). He lived in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region.

He studied at the Lyceum №35 named after Valentyn Sheyman of the Kramatorsk City Council of Donetsk region. Later he graduated from a local institute. After graduation, he worked in woodworking and furniture production. In his spare time, he was fond of numismatics.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he volunteered to defend his homeland from the Russian invaders. His family was forced to leave their home and move to Lviv. He performed combat missions to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state as part of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade “Kholodnyi Yar” of the operational command “East” of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was seriously wounded during his service. During his treatment, he was actively involved in volunteer activities.

Viktor Harbuz is survived by his mother and wife.
