Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to defender Vitaly Musurivskyi

On Monday, April 1, Lviv will say goodbye to serviceman Vitaly Musurivskyi, who died at the hands of the Russian occupiers while defending Ukraine. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The defender’s funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical certificate of the defender

Vitaly Musurivskyi (October 4, 1990-December 8, 2023) was born in the village of Nedoboivtsi, Chernivtsi region.

He received his secondary education at the Nedoboiv Lyceum named after Hryhoriy Tomin. After completing his studies, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After returning, he worked in his native village, distinguished himself by exceptional diligence in his work. At the same time, he took care of his parents.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the invaders. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state in the ranks of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” of the operational command “West” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Despite the wound received in battle, after rehabilitation he immediately returned to the front to his comrades. He underwent military training abroad and earned the rank of junior sergeant.

At the end of 2023, relatives lost contact with Vitaly Musurivskyi. He was found only after 4 months of continuous searching.

The Hero is survived by two brothers with their families, a son and a bride.
