Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Heroes Rostislav Parfanyuk and Maksym Nikolyshyn

On Wednesday, July 5, Lviv will say goodbye to two Heroes. Rostyslav Parfanyuk and Maksym Nikolyshyn defended Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The Heroes’ funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. Maksym Nikolyshyn will be buried at the Goloskiv cemetery, Rostyslav Parfanyuk – at the Lychakiv cemetery.

We would like to remind you that at 15:00 the farewell ceremony and funeral ceremony of the Ukrainian writer Viktoria Amelina will take place in the Garrison Church, and at 15:40 – the city farewell ceremony on Rynok Square.

Biographical references of Heroes

 

Rostyslav Parfanyuk (23.08.1986-26.06.2023) from Lviv.

Studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 23 of the city of Lviv. Received higher education at the National Forestry University of Ukraine.

In peacetime, he worked by profession in the field of woodworking and furniture production. Passionate about his work.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the Russian invaders. Performed combat missions in the eastern direction in the ranks of the 68th separate hunting brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush of the “West” operational command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Rostyslav Parfanyuk is survived by his parents.

 

Maksym Nikolyshyn (October 4, 1978-July 3, 2023) from Lviv.

He studied at the former secondary comprehensive school No. 58 of the city of Lviv. After completing his studies, he immediately started working, engaged in plumbing work. He lived his business, was fond of cars.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the 125th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the “West” Regional Department of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the Motherland. Performed tasks in the eastern direction.

Maksym Nikolyshyn is survived by his parents, sister, daughter, granddaughter, niece and brother-in-law, cousins and sisters.
