Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Heroes Taras Kutny and Andrii Pidsosny

Tomorrow, March 13, the Lviv community will say goodbye to Taras Kutny and Andrii Pidsosny, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

Farewell to Taras Kutny will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the family home on the street. Ivana Lypa, 15 in Vynnyky. Therefore, at 11:30-11:40 a.m., the funeral service will take place in the local Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist (61 Halytska St.). The Hero will be buried at the new cemetery in Vinnyky.

The funeral service of Andrii Pidsosny will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul in Lviv (11 Teatralna St.), at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The Hero will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

 

Biographical references of Heroes

 

Taras Kutny (17.11.1997-17.12.2022) Born in the city of Vinnyki.
He studied at Secondary Secondary School of Grades I-III No. 29 of Lviv and Secondary Secondary School of Grades I-III Grades No. 47. He graduated from the National Technical University of Ukraine “Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. He was educated at the National Academy of Internal Affairs, where he graduated from the military department.

In peacetime, he worked at the Private Enterprise “Okhorona-Sherif”. Actively attended cultural events in the capital.

During 2015-2018, Sergeant Serhiy Mykhalchuk of the National Guard of Ukraine performed combat missions in the area of the anti-terrorist operation as part of the 4th brigade of the operational assignment named after the Hero of Ukraine.

After returning, he continued to work at the “Okhorona-Sherif” enterprise.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he fought against the Russian occupiers in the ranks of the North Kyiv Territorial Administration of NSU. Defended the state in Gostomel, Buchi and Irpen, later defended the eastern frontiers.

Taras Kutny is survived by his parents and two younger sisters.

 

Andriy Pidsosny (13.12.1988-15.09.2022) native of Lviv.

Studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 77 of the city of Lviv with an in-depth study of economics and management. Graduated from the Lviv Higher Vocational College of Computer Technologies and Construction.

After completing his studies, he served in the military in Zolochiv, Lviv region.

In 2009-2010, he worked at the State Security Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and later at the Economic Security Agency “Efort” LLC. He later held the position of a firefighter-rescuer.

Performed combat tasks in the area of the anti-terrorist operation. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he volunteered to defend the Motherland in the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the operational command “West” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Andriy Pidsosny is survived by his mother, brother, sisters and nephews.
