Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Andriy Yusyk

Tomorrow, December 10, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Andrii Yusyk, who died in the battle with the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

At 3:00 p.m., the Hero’s Funeral Service will begin in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 3:30 p.m. – city farewell ceremony on Rynok Square.

The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical reference of the Hero

Andriy Yusyk (November 26, 1981-December 6, 2022). A native of Lviv.
Studied at Lyceum No. 80 of the Lviv City Council. Graduated from Vocational and Technical School No. 53 of Lviv, majoring in auto mechanic. After completing his studies, he completed military service in the city of Horlivka, Donetsk region.

For 15 years, he worked at the limited liability company “Y.R.K.” He was fond of electronics.

In 2014-2015, he performed combat missions in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation as part of the 128th Separate Transcarpathian Mountain Assault Brigade of the “West” Operational Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Later, he returned to work at “Y.R.K.” LLC.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces as a volunteer. Senior soldier. He fought against the Russian occupiers as part of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Andrii Yusyk is survived by his parents, wife, two children and brothers.
