Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Ihor Bosenko

On Tuesday, July 25, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Ihor Bosenko, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The Hero will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical reference of the Hero

Ihor Bosenko (June 20, 1968-July 20, 2023) from Lviv.

In 1986, he graduated from evening secondary school No. 10 in the city of Lviv. He was educated at the former secondary vocational school No. 57 as a “ventilator fitter for the production of parts of ventilation systems”.

After completing his studies, he served in the ranks of the communications forces.

In peacetime, he worked as a roofer of the 4th grade at the Lviv communal enterprise “Stary Lviv” and at the Limited Liability Company “TILE”.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the invaders. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state in the eastern direction as part of the 42nd separate mechanized brigade of the operational command “West” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Igor Bosenko is survived by cousins and sisters.
