Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Mykola-Volodymyr Bedyk

On Wednesday, May 17, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Mykola-Volodymyr Bedyk, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders.

The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The Hero will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical reference of the Hero

Mykola-Volodymyr Bedyk (“Shahid”) (August 1, 1998-January 24, 2023) from Lviv.
Studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 99 of the city of Lviv. After obtaining secondary education, he entered the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Lviv Higher Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Construction”.

While in Poland, he acquired the specialty of machinist-operator of road construction machines and worked at the local company “BUDPOL”.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he voluntarily returned from abroad and joined the territorial defense. Subsequently, he joined the ranks of the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (former separate special purpose regiment “Azov”). Performed combat missions to protect state sovereignty and independence in the eastern direction.

Mykola-Volodymyr Bedyk is survived by his parents and younger brother.
