Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Pavel Rusyn

Tomorrow, January 9, Lviv will say goodbye to Pavel Rusyn, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 10:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The Hero will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Volodymyr Vinnichenko – square Soborna – str. Pekarska – st. Shimzeriv – str. Mechnikova – Lychakiv cemetery.

 

Biographical reference of the Hero
Pavlo Rusyn (January 27, 1992-January 1, 2023) from Lviv.

 

Studied at Lyceum No. 21 of the Lviv City Council. Graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University. After completing his studies, he completed military service.

In peacetime, he worked in one of the service centers of the Limited Liability Company “Vodafone Enterprise Ukraine” in Lviv.

He was fond of computer technology, actively engaged in sports.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the terrorist state. Defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo of the operational command “West” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Pavel Rusyn is survived by his mother.
