Tomorrow, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Roman Pus

On Friday, May 12, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Roman Pus, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 11:30 a city farewell ceremony will take place on Rynok Square. The Hero will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

 

Biographical reference of the Hero

Roman Pus (21.08.1994-07.05.2023) A native of the village of Verbivtsi, Khmelnytskyi region. Later, the family moved to Lviv.

He studied at Lyceum No. 51 named after Ivan Franko of the Lviv City Council. He received his education in the specialty “plasterer, painter, plasterer and tiler” at the State Vocational and Technical Educational Institution “Lviv Higher Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Construction”.

In 2015, he joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine for temporary military service. Later, he worked in the construction industry, engaged in repair work.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the territorial defense as a volunteer. Fought against the Russian occupiers as part of the 125th separate territorial defense brigade of the “West” regional administration of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Roman Pusya is survived by his mother, grandmother, sisters, nieces, uncles, aunts and godparents.
