Tomorrow, December 3, Lviv will say goodbye to Hero Yaroslav Tymchyk, who died in the battle with the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.
The Hero’s funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 2:30 p.m. – city farewell ceremony on Rynok Square.
The soldier will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical reference of the Hero
Yaroslav Tymchyk (May 31, 1988-November 28, 2022) from Lviv.
He studied at the Communal Institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv General Educational Sanatorium School No. 1 of I-III degrees named after Bohdan-Ihor Antonych”.
After completing his studies, he worked in the construction industry. He was fond of music and football.
With the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he stood up to protect the Motherland from the Russian invaders. He defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state in the ranks of the 24th separate assault battalion “Aidar” of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh of the operational command “East” of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Yaroslav Tymchyk is survived by his mother, sister, grandmother, brother, aunts and nephews.
