Tomorrow, March 17, Lviv will say goodbye to Maryan Ivansky, who died defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders. The City Hall calls on Lviv residents and guests to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment events and celebrations during this time.
The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Garrison Church of Sts. App. Peter and Paul, at 2:30 p.m. a city farewell ceremony will be held on Rynok Square. The Hero will be buried at the Lychakiv cemetery.

Biographical reference of the Hero
Maryan Ivanskyi (08/05/1986-02/08/2023).
He was born in the village of Mali Mokryany, Lviv Region. Lived in the city of Lviv, where he studied at Secondary Secondary School No. 96. He graduated from the chemistry faculty of the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” with a specialization in “biotechnology”.
During 2007-2013, he worked as a consultant on organizational work of the Lviv regional organization “People’s Party” in the city of Lviv. Subsequently, he held the position of head of the secretariat of this organization.
In the future, he worked as an operator of automatic and semi-automatic lines of machines and units for the production of double-glazed windows at Glass Tryosh Lviv LLC. He was fond of computer technology. He was an exceptionally principled person.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he joined the ranks of the 355th Training Mechanized Regiment of the 184th Training Center of the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Peter Sahaidachny to defend the Motherland.
Maryan Ivansky is survived by a young daughter, his wife, parents, two sisters and a grandmother.
