
On Friday, August 29, Lviv will commemorate the memory of soldiers Mykola Fedak and Andriy Vegera, who died fighting for Ukraine.
“The city council urges residents to join the city farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment activities and celebrations during this time,” notes Mayor Andriy Yaremko.
The farewell to Mykola Fedak will begin at 09:30 at the Church of the Ascension of the Lord UGCC. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul, and the citywide ceremony will take place in Rynok Square at 11:30. He will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery.
Defender Andriy Vegera will be farewelled at 12:00 at the family home in the village of Zashkiv. The funeral service will take place at 13:00 at the Church of Archangel Michael, after which he will be buried in the local cemetery.
