On Wednesday, December 3, Lviv will pay tribute to serviceman Andriy Tokar, who died defending Ukraine from Russian occupiers.
The city council has called on residents of Lviv and visitors to join the farewell ceremony and refrain from entertaining events and celebrations.
The farewell to the soldier will begin at 09:30 at the Church of the Ascension on 81 Shyroka Street. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 in the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul.
Approximately at 11:30, a citywide farewell ceremony will take place at Rynok Square. The soldier will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery, in the field of honorary burials of modern Heroes.
