On Monday, December 22, Lviv will hold a farewell ceremony for soldier Andriy Vovk, who died fighting against the Russian occupiers.
The city council urges Lviv residents and visitors to join the city’s farewell ceremony and to refrain from entertainment activities and celebrations at this time.
The farewell with the soldier will begin at 9:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Eucharist on 1 Velychkovskoho Street. The funeral service will start at 11:00 AM at the Garrison Church of SS. Peter and Paul. After that, approximately at 11:30 AM, a city-wide ceremony will take place at Rynok Square.
Defender Andriy Vovk will be buried at the Riasne Cemetery (military field).
