
On November 6, Lviv bid farewell to the fallen defender of Ukraine, Rostyslav Bilets.
On this day, Lviv held a farewell ceremony for serviceman Rostyslav Bilets, who died defending Ukraine against Russian occupiers. The city council urged residents to participate in the ceremony and refrain from entertaining activities. @lvivadm
The funeral service began at 14:00 at the Garrison Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, followed by a city-wide ceremony at Rynok Square at 14:30. The burial took place at Holosko Cemetery.
Rostyslav Bilets (30.12.1986 – 04.11.2025) was a native of Lviv and was educated as an electromechanical engineer at the Technology College of Lviv Polytechnic National University. He worked as a lecturer and an electrician, was passionate about architectural modeling, and collected coins.
Bilets participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation and in 2024 stood to defend Ukraine during the invasion by Russian forces, serving in military unit A5052 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
