Tomorrow, there will be a meeting in honor of the fallen Hero – the Drohobych resident, Roman Horodysky.
Sad news has come to Drohobych: Roman Horodysky has died defending Ukraine. He was born on May 3, 1978, in Drohobych, studied at School No. 1 and the Oil College, and served in the internal troops. He worked at the 2nd Special Rapid Response Center of the SES, spending a lot of time abroad. With the beginning of the Russian invasion, from April 4, 2022, he was mobilized and defended the country on the front lines. He died on November 5, 2024, near Bohoyavlenka in the Donetsk region and was considered missing. Now his death has been officially confirmed.
The local authorities express condolences to the family of the fallen hero. “We mourn with you,” say representatives of the city council.
The funeral cortege with the body will arrive tomorrow at 12:00 at the Heroes intersection. The parastas will take place at 19:00 in the chapel of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. The funeral will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 there, and the burial will be at the cemetery on Pylypa Orlyka Street.
