Thunderstorms are forecasted in the Lviv region on July 18, which may be accompanied by heavy rains.
According to the Lviv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology of Ukraine, significant precipitation is expected at night, and strong rains are possible in some areas during the day. The Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region urges the population to be cautious during the storm.
“During a thunderstorm, if you are at home, close all windows and doors, there should be no drafts in the room, and stay away from electrical appliances,” the SES emphasizes.
On the street, avoid eaves, trees, billboards, and power lines. Do not hide under trees, as they attract lightning. If the storm catches you in a car, stay inside, close the windows, and lower the antenna.
