On 15 September, at 22:16, rescuers received a report of a fire in the village of Bilychi, Sambir district, in a one-storey wooden outbuilding.
Rescuers from the 57th State Fire and Rescue Post of Dobromyl and the local fire brigade of Voyutychi were sent to the scene. Before their arrival, the owners and neighbours tried to extinguish the fire on their own.
By the time the firefighters arrived, the flames had already engulfed the building. As a result of the fire, the owner’s husband, born in 1954, suffered burns to both hands. He was hospitalised at the Sambir Central District Hospital.
A neighbouring building was saved.
The fire was contained at 23:09 and extinguished at 23:17.
Five rescuers and two units of special equipment were involved in the firefighting.
