The Danger of Gas Burners: How to Avoid Explosions at Home

Improper use of gas burners can cause explosions in the household.

Camping stoves, which are intended for outdoor use, pose a particular threat. They are not designed for extended operation in enclosed spaces. Ignoring the usage conditions can lead to dangerous consequences, such as overheating the gas cylinder and the risk of explosion due to the use of large cookware.

If you decide to use a camping stove at home, follow these rules to avoid causing trouble:

  • ensure constant ventilation — provide access to fresh air;
  • do not leave the burner unattended, even for a short time;
  • after use, disconnect the cylinder and store it at room temperature in a dark place;
  • do not use the burner for full-scale cooking — only for heating water or small portions of food in small cookware;
  • if placing the gas burner on an electric stove, ensure that it is turned off, and remove the burner from the stove surface after use;
  • do not store gas cylinders on cold balconies.

Remember: observing safety rules is the key to preserving your life and property. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
