During a conflict, the suspect inflicted fatal injuries on a companion, beating him with his hands and feet. For this crime, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
In the early hours of December 14, around 2 a.m., police received a report about the discovery of a man’s body showing signs of violent death in an apartment on Hrinchenko Street in Drohobych.
A response team, including investigators and forensic specialists from the Drohobych district and Lviv region police, arrived at the scene.
Law enforcement determined that the incident occurred during a drinking session involving two previously convicted men: a 34-year-old resident of Truskavets and a 29-year-old from the Zaporizhzhia region. An argument broke out, during which the younger man struck the older one multiple times with his fists and feet, primarily targeting the head. The injuries proved fatal.
The suspect was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Premeditated Murder”). The article stipulates a prison sentence ranging from 7 to 15 years.
Pre-trial investigations are ongoing.
